CHALFONT, PA — The Manhattan Bagel stores in Dublin and Chalfont are teaming up with the New Britain Food Pantry this weekend to help combat food insecurity in the community.

For every dozen of its signature, water-boiled bagels sold during the three-day initiative from Saturday through Monday, Manhattan Bagel will donate 10 percent of the proceeds directly to the New Britain Food Pantry. Additionally, every customer will receive a flyer with a QR code to make a direct donation to support the pantry’s efforts.

“Last year, we fed almost 8,500 individuals in our pantry alone," said Cindy Field, Director of the New Britain Food Pantry. "Food insecurity knows no demographic bounds — we serve working families, single parents, senior citizens, college students, and more. Sadly, 75 percent of those we help are senior citizens, often forced to choose between food and medicine.”

Bagel shop owners Don and Stephanie invite the community to support the cause by purchasing a dozen bagels at either of their locations in Chalfont and Dublin — or by scanning the QR code to donate directly to the pantry.

“Our community means everything to us,” said Don. “As small business owners, we’re proud to give back and help raise awareness for the growing issue of food insecurity right here in Central Bucks. Together, we can make a real difference.”
