Book Festival Brings Celebration Of Stories And Authors To Doylestown
Event will feature a lineup of bestselling authors, local literary talent, family-friendly programming, and vibrant community experiences.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The beloved Bucks County Book Festival is back for its 2025 edition, bringing literary magic to the heart of Doylestown this weekend.
With a lineup featuring bestselling authors, local literary talent, family-friendly programming, and vibrant community experiences, this year’s festival promises to be bigger and better than ever.
The heart of the festival takes place at Broad Commons Park on Saturday, May 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with an action-packed lineup of author panels, Kids Fest activities, local vendors, and a pop-up shop featuring 30 indie authors across genres — from fantasy and poetry to historical fiction and memoir.

Featured panels include:
- 10 a.m. – Publishing Paths: Indie & Traditional
- 11:15 a.m. – Women Who Write
- 12:30 p.m. – Novel Conversations (Book Clubs Panel)
- 1:45 p.m. – Beyond the Page (Fiction Panel)
- 3 p.m. – Strange Realms (Horror & Sci-Fi Panel)
The Kids Fest Tent will be buzzing from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with special appearances and book signings from 14 incredible children’s authors like David Wiesner, Jordan Sonnenblick, Lisa Papp, Ali Kamanda, and Jenni L. Walsh.

Families can also enjoy a full day of live music, bilingual storytimes, theater showcases, yoga, and more at the festival stage, starting with a welcome from Doylestown’s Mayor Noni West.
The festival culminates on Sunday, May 4 in a must-see Keynote Conversation featuring Laurie Halse Anderson (Rebellion 1776, Speak, Shout) and Nisha Sharma (The Letters We Keep, Dating Dr. Dil) at 4 p.m. at Salem United Church of Christ. The discussion will explore storytelling, activism, and the writing life, followed by a live Q&A and book signing. Every ticket includes a copy of Anderson’s
new book, Rebellion 1776.

With an expected attendance of 3,000 book lovers, the Bucks County Book Festival provides a space for literary enthusiasts of all ages, including families, young readers, writers, and industry professionals. The festival is designed to inspire a passion for reading and writing while
