DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The British are coming! The British are coming!

The 2025 Thompson Performing Arts Series continues on Wednesday, June 11 at the C&N Amphitheater in Doylestown's Central Park with "The British Invasion Years," a concert featuring 1960s British and American hits.

The free concert is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. with a 60s musical retrospective spanning the entire first wave of the British Invasion era, chock full of the groovy sights and sounds from both sides of the Atlantic.

The audience may hear chart toppers by iconic British groups such as The Zombies, Dave Clark Five, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Moody Blues, Herman’s Hermits, The Kinks and many others. As bassist/vocalist Bobby M. notes, “One of the reasons audiences keep coming back is because they get to see and hear our faithful recreations of songs by these beloved artists.”

The American musical response follows as the band takes the audience through a high-energy set of hits by legendary artists like The Monkees, The Beach Boys, Steppenwolf, Tommy James and the Shondells, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, The Mamas and The Papas, Neil Diamond, and The Turtles, to name just a few.

The evening event includes a weekly beer garden provided by Warwick Farm Brewery and a variety of food trucks.

Central Park Construction Alert

Parking at Central Park continues to be reduced due to the ongoing park improvement construction project, including a new Community Recreation Center, playing court complex, parking expansion/realignment and bathrooms. Construction is anticipated to be nearing completion by mid-summer.

Lots fill up quickly at Central Park. The township suggests arriving early and carpooling when possible. Township staff will be on hand to assist until the lots are full. The lot adjacent to the amphitheater is not open to general parking and will be limited to handicap, designated band members, designated
