BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Two Bucks County schools, including Buckingham Friends, will be closed Tuesday due to exposure to the new coronavirus.
A student at Buckingham Friends may have come in contact with a person who tested presumptively positive for coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. Neshaminy High School will be closed Tuesday after a student was in direct contact with a healthcare provider at a Children's Hospital of Philadelphia facility in King of Prussia who later tested positive for the new coronavirus.
Both closings were described as precautionary, according to information from Bucks County. Neither student has shown any symptoms of the virus, said Dr. David Damsker, director of the Bucks County Health Department.
