HARRISBURG, PA The Bucks County GOP State House Delegation on Saturday issued a joint press release expressing "shock and outrage" over the targeted shooting of Minnesota lawmakers on Saturday.

According to law enforcement reports, Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband were fatally shot in their home. State Senator John Hoffman and his wife were also shot and are fighting for their lives. The investigation remains ongoing.

“This was a cowardly and unacceptable act of violence against public servants and their families,” said State Rep. Craig Staats, who joined Rep. Joe Hogan, Rep. Shelby Labs, Rep. Kristin Marcell and Rep. Kathleen "K.C." Tomlinson in speaking out against the acts. “No one should ever fear for their life because they chose to serve their community. Our prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.”
