It was a classic winter morning on Friday, with a layer of white on the ground and school closures all around Bucks County. See the latest.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Bucks County woke up to a nice wintry morning after an overnight storm dumped a few inches of snow on the ground.

Our area of southeastern Pennsylvania was projected to get between 3 and 5 inches by Friday morning.

The snow seems to be done for the day, so let's take a look at what's on the ground across the county as of around 7 a.m.

Here are the National Weather Service's reported snowfall totals:

  • Bensalem: 3.8 inches
  • Levittown: 4 inches
  • Feasterville-Trevose: 4.1 inches
  • Morrisville: 4.2 inches
  • Yardley: 4.2 inches
  • Buckingham: 4 inches
  • Lower Makefield: 4.2 inches
  • Doylestown: 4.9 inches
  • Newtown: 4.3 inches

County government and court offices opened on a two-hour delay schedule. Many schools closed or went asynchronous after the snowfall.

Central Bucks, Pennsbury, Neshaminy, and Council Rock School Districts are closed Friday.

Bristol Township, Bristol Borough, Bensalem Township, Pennridge, New Hope-Solebury, Centennial, Morrisville, and Quakertown Community School Districts are conducting asynchronous learning.

Palisades School District had a two-hour delay followed by an asynchronous learning day.

No road incidents or closures had been reported due to the weather in Bucks County this morning.

Today: Mostly cloudy with a chance of snow this morning, then mostly sunny this afternoon. Total snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches possible. Highs in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of snow 50 percent.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Cooler with lows around 15. West winds 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Sunny. Highs in the lower 30s. Northwest winds around 5 mph, becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear. Lows around 20. Temperature rising into the mid 20s after midnight. South winds around 5 mph.

Sunday: Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain in the morning, then rain likely in the afternoon. Highs around 40. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy. A chance of rain in the evening. Lows in the mid 20s. Chance of rain 50 percent.
