She is to have no contact with the victim, now an adult, nor her family, according to the report. Caron, a fifth grade teacher on leave from her job at Middle Township Elementary School No. 2, was also ordered to have no contact with any minor other than her 5-year-old child.
Caron's attorney, John Tumelty, argued that there was no DNA test proving that Caron's child was fathered by her former student, according to BreakingAC. He claimed that the state charged her before the investigation was complete, the outlet reported. A warrant has been obtained to test her and her child's DNA.

He also argued that Caron has a clean prior record, NJ Advance Media reported.

The investigation into Caron began this past December, when the victim's father posted on social media that Caron's child looked very similar to himself and his son.

That post was submitted to officials at the Middle Township School District as an anonymous tip saying that a teacher may have had a sexual relationship with a student. Authorities immediately began investigating.

The victim told multiple people, including authorities, that he was the father of Caron's child. He had texted his sister at one point admitting to being the child's father, but asked her to keep it a secret so Caron wouldn't get in trouble, according to documents.
