Building Fire Extinguished In New Britain Borough
The fire was caused by a torch being used to thaw a frozen pipe, officials said.
NEW BRITAIN, PA — A fire broke out at a home in New Britain Borough on Tuesday morning when a local resident tried to thaw a frozen pipe with a torch.
The Doylestown Fire Company responded to the fire in the 400 block of East Butler Avenue at around 10:40 a.m. Tuesday.
The fire was quickly extinguished, officials said.

Doylestown firefighters were assisted by the Chalfont Fire Company and Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services.
