Catalytic Converter Theft, DUI Arrest: Plumstead Police Blotter

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between June 30 and July 12:
June 30:
- At 6:53 a.m., Officers conducted a traffic stop for an expired registration. When Officers approached the vehicle and made contact with the operator the Officer noticed signs of impairment, slurred speech, and impaired fine motor skills. The officer asked the operator to step out of the vehicle and in doing so the operator had to brace himself up against the car. The officer arrested Matt Keebler, 50, of Upper Black Eddy for Driving under the influence after he was unable to perform the field sobriety test successfully. Charges have been filed.
July 2

- At 3:36 p.m., Officers responded to the area of Old Easton Road for a property damage complaint. When Officers arrived and met the complainant, the complainant stated that a vehicle partially left the roadway and ran into his lawn. The vehicle left some tire tracks, took down a lawn sign, and ran over some flags. There were no identifying car parts left at the scene, officers cleared without incident.
July 3
- At 2:20 p.m., Officers received a call for a fraud complaint. The complainant stated that he received hospital ambulance bills from another state. The complainant called his insurance company after receiving a bill for over $2000 and believes he will receive more due to the individual being at a hospital. The complainant did not pay this bill and they will be disputing the charges. Officers provided the complainant an Identity theft packet. This case is still under investigation.
- At 7:52 p.m., Officers responded to Capri Pizza for an intoxicated customer. When the officers arrived, they realized the individual did not have a way home. Officers provided courtesy transport.
July 4

- At 6:44 p.m., Officers responded to Gardenville Hotel for a property damage complaint. When the Officers arrived, they met up with the complainant who stated that a black SUV hit the retaining wall and left. Since the officers do not have more information on the striking vehicle, they cleared the scene without issues.
July 5
- At 6:20 p.m., Officers received a fraud complaint. When the Officers spoke to the complainant, he stated that his bank account was compromised and that $2500 was withdrawn. The complainant already contacted his bank. Officers provided the complainant with a victim right packet. This case is still under investigation.
July 10
- At 9:50 a.m., Plumstead Police received a call from Thompson Collision about a catalytic converter removed from a truck. The complainant stated that the cost of the converter was approximately $2500.00. Due to no suspects officers cleared this case.
July 12
- At 12:20 a.m., Plumstead Township Police Officer conducted a traffic stop on a black sedan after observing the vehicle drifting into the other lane of traffic and having a tinted black license plate cover. As the officer approached the vehicle and made contact with the operator, the officer noticed the driver’s speech was slurred along with bloodshot eyes. The operator was unable to perform the field sobriety test successfully and Officers arrested Eric Neuman, 57 of Warrington for Driving under the influence. Charges have been filed pending blood alcohol results.
- At 7:20 p.m., Officers received a call for a fraud complaint. The complainant stated that someone tried to open a line of credit using her information. The complainant is not out of any money but was provided with a Victim Right packet along with an Identity theft packet.
