The threat capped a "challenging week" for Central Bucks West after a 12th grade student passed away Monday, officials said.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A threat, which has been determined to be non-credible, prompted the presence of law enforcement at Central Bucks West Friday, school officials said. Officers from the Central Bucks Regional Police Department will remain present at tonight's carnival and varsity football game.
In a message to the school community Friday afternoon, Central Bucks School District Superintendent John Kopicki said the threat capped a "challenging week" for Central Bucks families. Catarina Gane, a 12th grade student at CB West, passed away Monday.
"Difficult circumstances such as this can sometimes create misinformation and additional concern," the letter said.
