Central Bucks Communities Announce Egg Hunt Updates

Due to the forecast for rain on Saturday, local egg hunts are being modified or postponed to Sunday.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — With rain in the forecast for Saturday, communities in Central Bucks County are updating their egg hunt plans.

Buckingham Township

The Buckingham Township Egg Hunt has been postponed from Saturday, April 12 to Sunday, April 13 at Holicong Park, 5143 York Road. The Easter Bunny is scheduled to arrive at 11:30 a.m. for pictures with the hunt beginning at 12 p.m. Egg hunters should bring a bag for egg collecting and wear their boots as the fields may be wet.

Doylestown Borough

The Doylestown Borough Egg Hunt, which has been sold out for weeks, has been postponed until Sunday, April 13 due to a forecast for rain on Saturday, April 12. Sponsored by The Learning Experience, Class-Harlan Real Estate and Busy Bee Toys, the hunt is now scheduled for Sunday, April 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Broad Commons Park across from the Doylestown Borough Hall. The event will feature visits from the Easter Bunny, activities for the kids, crafts, and of course, the egg hunt.

Plumstead Township

The Plumstead Township Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, April 12 has been postponed to Sunday, April 13 at Hanusey Farm, 4757 Gordon Road, Doylestown. The hunt, presented by Plumstead Parks and Recreation, starts promptly at 1 p.m. with the two-and-under age group followed by 3-4, 5-6, and then 7 to 10. The East Bunny will also be making an appearance.

Solebury Township

The Solebury Township Egg Hunt is taking place rain or shine at Pat Livezy Park. The free event for children ages 10 and under starts at 10 a.m. In the event of rain, prizes will be distributed at the snack stand on a first-come, first-served basis until supplies are exhausted.

Warwick Township

The Warwick Community Egg Hunt is still on for Saturday, but due to the weather the event will be run as a modified drive-through hunt at Warwick Community Park between 1 and 2 p.m. (or until all eggs have been given out). Each child will receive a bag of eggs and a wave from the Bunny! The hunt is supported by Hatboro Federal Savings.
