Central Bucks Officers Commended For Saving 2 Lives In January

Officers with the Central Bucks Police Department saved two lives last month, including a woman who had a heart attack at a local store.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Officers from the Central Bucks Regional Police Department were commended this week for their life-saving actions in two recent incidents.

On Jan. 24, two officers saved the life of a woman who had passed out at a local grocery store.

Within a minute of arriving to the Giant in New Britain Borough, Corporal Mark Bolender and Sergeant Matthew Smith determined the woman was having a heart attack. The provided lifesaving assistance.

In a separate incident, Officer Bryan Pullar saw a man lying face down on the concrete at a New Britain Borough gas station on Jan. 10. Pullar determined he was in immediate need of medical attention and provided lifesaving assistance.

"In both cases, the officers' quick response, recognition of the severity of the medical emergency, immediate actions and effective CPR resulted directly in saving the life of both patients," Central Bucks Regional Police said in an announcement.
