Central Bucks Police Log: DUI Arrests, Vehicular Assault & More

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents during the month of June.

June 1

Ordinance Violation: Solicitation
Location: Hellberg Avenue, Chalfont Borough
Incident: Aptive Environmental, a business located in Bensalem, was charged for soliciting without a permit.

Ordinance Violation: Marijuana
Location: South Main Street and Hart Avenue, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 41-year-old Lansdale man was cited when officers found him in possession of a small amount of marijuana following a traffic accident investigation.

June 5

Drug Violation Arrest
Location: Sandy Ridge Drive, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 33-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for the above offense when officers responded to the area for a report of a driver slumped over in the driver's seat. Drug paraphernalia and drugs were found in plain sight. Medical assistance was provided and a criminal complaint was filed.

Disorderly Conduct Arrest
Location: East State Street, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 22-year-old Philadelphia woman was arrested for the above offense following two officer interactions. during the first encounter, an officer warned her not to consume alcohol in an open container within the borough. She later got sick in the street. A citation was filed.

June 7

Arrest Warrant Issued: Criminal Mischief
Location: North Broad Street (Center Square Towers), Doylestown Borough
Incident: An arrest warrant has been issued for a 30-year-old Doylestown man who damaged the vending machine in the Center Square Towers building.

June 8

Ordinance Violation: Solicitation
Location: Sioux Road, New Britain Borough
Incident: Smartroof, Inc., a business located in Radnor, has been charged for soliciting without a permit.

Burglary Arrest
Location: East Court Street, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 31-year-old resident from Ridgefield, New Jersey, was arrested for the above offense when police responded to a residence on East Court Street. The homeowner reported she was in her driveway when she noticed her front door open and the woman standing inside the home with keys to her vehicle and rental properties. The woman was arraigned, with bail set at 10 percent of $50,000.

DUI Arrest
Location: West Butler Avenue and South Limekiln Pike, Chalfont Borough
Incident: A 49-year-old Dublin man was arrested for the above offense after police conducted a traffic stop for no taillights.

June 9

Arrest Warrant Issued: Access Device Fraud and additional charges
Location: Chalfont Borough
Incident: A 44-year-old Ardmore man is wanted for several fraudulent transactions made in January of 2021. A Chalfont resident discovered numerous large purchases being made using his debit card without his knowledge. A criminal complaint has been filed.

Ordinance Violation: Marijuana
Location: Central Bucks West High School, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 22-year-old New Jersey man was cited for the above offense when officers investigated a suspicious vehicle in the high school parking lot. The man was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. A citation was filed.

June 10

Access Device Fraud Arrest
Location: Station Tap House, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 32-year-old Warminster man turned himself in on an active arrest warrant for the above offense and six additional charges. The man made several fraudulent transactions during the month of January at the Station Tap House.

June 11

Theft and Receiving Stolen Property Arrest
Location: Bunker Gun Shop II, 143 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough
Incident: A 58-year-old Ambler man was arrested for the above offense stemming from an incident that took place March 5. The man stole a Surefire suppressor and placed it hidden in his jacket before leaving the store. Following an investigation in conjunction with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the man returned the suppressor and admitted to stealing it.

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: 577 N. Main St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 68-year-old Doylestown man was charged with the above offense after police observed him walking with an unsteady gait and an inability to continue walking.

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: Pine and State streets, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 21-year-old Pipersville man was charged with the above offense following a dispatch for an unresponsive man. Central Bucks EMS provided medical attention.

June 13

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: Wawa, 425 S. Main St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 22-year-old Perkasie man was charged with the above offense after police observed a sleeping man in the Wawa parking lot.

Drug Violation Arrest
Location: 320 Swamp Rd, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 37-year-old Langhorne man was arrested for the above offense following a traffic stop for non-functioning registration plate light. Due to suspicious activity, a K9 was deployed to the outside of the vehicle to determine the potential for illegal substances. The vehicle was impounded and a search warrant was obtained, with police finding illegal controlled substances. A criminal complaint has been filed.

June 14

Drug Violation Arrest
Location: SEPTA train station, 100 S. Clinton St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 31-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for the above offense following a police dispatch to the SEPTA station for an unresponsive man on the train. Police found drug paraphernalia on the seat next to him. A criminal complaint was filed.

June 17

Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, DUI Arrest
Location: Homestead Drive, Doylestown Borough
Incident: An 18-year-old Doylestown man was charged with 14 offenses as a result of being the driver in an accident that caused multiple injuries to multiple people. He turned himself in and bail was set at $75,000.

June 19

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: 18 E. Court St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 24-year-old Warrington man was charged with the above offense after police investigated suspicious activity.

Underage Drinking Violation
Location: 19 N. Main St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 19-year-old Oreland man was arrested for the above offense after police observed him leaving Chambers 19 with an unsteady walk and attempting to enter the wrong Uber. A citation has been filed.

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: 12 N. Main St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 21-year-old Jamison woman was arrested for the above offense after police observed her with an unsteady walk and dropping things on the sidewalk. A citation was filed.

DUI Arrest
Location: 235 E. State St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 23-year-old Morrisville woman was arrested for the above offense after police investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in Our Lady of Mount Carmel parking lot.

June 20

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: East Court Street and Printers Alley, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 38-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for the above offense when police observed him sleeping on a bench.

Drug Violation Arrests
Location: Main Street Inn, 625 N. Main St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 51-year-old Levittown woman and a 37-year-old Hatfield woman were arrested for the above offense following police dispatch to the Main Street Inn for people refusing to leave the hotel room after ripping wires from behind the front desk in an attempt to get a Wifi connection. Both suspects were taken into custody on previous warrants.

June 23

DUI Arrest
Location: Ashland and West streets, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 31-year-old New Britain resident was arrested for the above offense following a traffic stop for failing to stop at a stop sign.

June 25

DUI Arrest
Location: Plaza East, East Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 37-year-old Furlong woman was arrested for the above offense when officers investigated a traffic accident where she struck a parked truck while pulling into a parking space.

June 26

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: Hop Scotch Bar, 22 S. Main St, Doylestown
Incident: A 24-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for the above offense when police were dispatched to Hop Scotch Bar for a man lying on the ground.

June 27

Public Drunkenness Arrest
Location: West State and Hamilton streets, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 22-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for the above offense after police responded to a report of a man passed out on a bench.

June 28

Simple Assault, Harassment, Criminal Mischief Arrest
Location: 114 N. Main St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: An 18-year-old Doylestown woman was arrested following a police call to 114 N. Main St in Doylestown Borough for a domestic disturbance in progress.

June 29

DUI Arrest
Location: Hamilton and Wood streets, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 47-year-old Doylestown man was arrested for the above offense following a traffic stop for a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one-way street.

June 30

False Information Arrest
Location: Acme Markets, 480 N. Main St, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 41-year-old Doylestown woman was arrested for the above offense after falsely reporting a hit and run accident May 25.

Ordinance Violation: Marijuana
Location: Swamp Road and Center Street, Doylestown Borough
Incident: A 19-year-old East Greenville man was cited for the above offense when officers conducted a motor carrier detail in which his pickup truck pulling a trailer was stopped. The driver was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Crime and Other Incidents

• On June 4, an unknown person stole a catalytic converter from a church van at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St, Doylestown Borough.
• On June 5, an unknown person placed large amounts of "for sale" potted plants from outside Acme into the trunk of a vehicle.
• On June 21, a resident reported their EZ pass and vehicle owner manual was stolen on South Chubb Drive, Doylestown Borough.
