DOYLESTOWN, PA — Central Bucks School District is the best school district in Bucks County, according to a recent ranking.

The district was also named the 14th best school district in Pennsylvania by Niche.com, a data compiler that provides rankings and analysis of K-12 schools, colleges and nearby neighborhoods.

With a student-teacher ratio of 15 to 1, Central Bucks has more than 18,200 students across 23 schools, which is larger than any of the other 13 districts that received a higher ranking.

The 2021 Best School Districts ranking is based on statistical analysis and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education, according to Niche.

Districts are graded by their academic offerings, diversity, teachers, college prep, health and safety and sports, among other categories.

According to state test scores, 68 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 85 percent in reading.

Central Bucks received an at least an A in all categories with the exception of diversity, for which it received a C+.

The top ranked district in the state is Radnor Township in Delaware County, followed by Tredyffrin-Easttown School District in Chester County.
