Central Bucks School Board: 2021 Primary Election Results

Voters have weighed in on five Central Bucks School Board races.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Voters in the Doylestown area have weighed in on the candidates for Central Bucks School Board in Tuesday's primary election.

The majority of candidates cross-filed, meaning they appeared on both the Democratic and Republican ballots.

Each seat carries a four-year term, with the exception of Region 8, which is a 2-year term.

In Region 4, which includes four voting districts in Warrington Township and one in Warwick Township, Lisa Sciscio secured the Republican nomination with 1,223 votes, while Jenine Zdanowciz secured the Democratic nomination with 689 votes to Sciscio's 383 votes.

In Region 5, which includes Chalfont Borough and voting districts in New Britain Township, Mariam Mahmud secured the Democratic nomination with 1,101 votes to James Bender's 231 votes. Bender won the Republican nomination with 1,202 votes to Mahmud's 171 votes.

In Region 7, which includes four voting districts in Warrington Township, Robert Dugger secured the Democratic nomination with 753 votes compared to Michael Simone's 262 votes. Simone won the Republican nomination with 982 votes to Rugger's 295 votes.

In Region 8, which includes Doylestown Borough and two voting districts in Doylestown Township, incumbent Daniel Ring secured the Republican nomination with 703 votes compared to Laura Viel's 223 votes and Tabitha Dell'Angelo's 200 votes. Dell'Angelo won the Democratic nomination with 1,192 votes to Viel's 566 votes and Ring's 159 votes.

In Region 9, which includes Warwick Township, Diana Leygerman secured the Democratic nomination with 891 votes to Jim Pepper's 190 votes. Pepper won the Republican nomination with 1,148 votes to Leygerman's 213 votes.

All election results are unofficial until certified by the Bucks County Board of Elections.
