Commissioners Harvie, Marseglia Endorse Stancu For Bucks DA

Bucks County Commissioners Diane Marseglia and Bob Harvie have endorsed Antonetta Stancu's campaign for District Attorney.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Democratic Bucks County Commissioners Diane Marseglia and Bob Harvie have announced their support for Antonetta Stancu in her campaign for District Attorney.

Stancu, a criminal defense attorney in Doylestown and a former prosecutor in the DA's office, is challenging Weintraub, a Republican, for the top law enforcement job in Bucks County. She announced her intention to run for the position in December.

“We are proud to endorse Antonetta Stancu to serve as the next District Attorney for Bucks County," the commissioners said in a statement. "With her experience as a prosecutor, a criminal attorney and victims rights advocate, we know Antonetta will fight for a fairer justice system that keeps Bucks families safe."

Stancu ran unopposed in the May primary, receiving 49,711 votes countywide. Weintraub also ran unopposed, receiving 53,493 votes.

Pennsylvania's municipal elections will be held Nov. 2. The last day to register to vote is Oct. 18, while the last day to request a mail-on or absentee ballot is Oct. 26.
