COVID-19 In Bucks Co. Over Thanksgiving Week: See Case Totals

The Bucks County Department of Health released data on local hospitalizations, the positivity rate, and more between Nov. 20 and Nov. 28.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Positive COVID-19 cases held steady in Bucks County during the week of Thanksgiving, according to the latest data from the local health department.

The case total between Nov. 20 and Nov. 28 was 928, according to the Bucks County Department of Health. That's three cases down from the previous week, although that week represented a spike of 109 in case totals.

Between Nov. 20 and Nov. 28, 144 cases were found in children 11 and under (up four from the prior week) and 73 cases were in those between twelve and eighteen (down by 15 from the previous week).

Thirteen deaths were reported in Bucks County, six of which were delayed reports from the previous two weeks.

The county's positivity rate was down by a thin margin of .1 percent, for a positivity rate of 7.6 percent.

On Nov. 29, 83 patients were in the hospital for COVID-19. That's 18 more than were hospitalized last week, according to health department data. Five of those patients were on ventilators.

More people continue to get vaccinated in Bucks County. The county administered 3,529 second doses of the vaccine between Nov. 20 and Nov. 28, for a total of 353,559 fully vaccinated residents.
