Dementia Society Of America Unveils New International HQ In Bucks
The locally-based organization celebrated its eighth anniversary Thursday by unveiling its new international headquarters in Doylestown.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Dementia Society of America, a support and resource organization based here in Doylestown, celebrated its eighth anniversary on Thursday by unveiling the group's new international headquarters.
Local officials including Bucks County Commissioner Bob Harvie, Doylestown Borough Mayor Ron Strouse, and Borough Council Woman Noni West were present for a ribbon cutting to mark the occasion.
Kevin Jameson, founder, volunteer president, and chairman of the Dementia Society of America, is proud that the organization can bring people together to connect over shared experiences of dementia, a syndrome which can feel isolating.

"At the end of the day, we want people to know that we are here to serve the community and communities across the country," he said.
The organization's mission, as stated online, is to educate about "the spectrum of conditions collectively known as dementia," to provide awareness materials and resources, and to recognize the hard work of caregivers everywhere. The Board of Directors and Advisory Council are both made up of volunteers passionate about their cause.

"The headquarters has meeting space available and a state-of-the-art studio that helps connect the society to the public, especially during the pandemic," Bucks County Government officials wrote online, commemorating Thursday's opening event.
The Dementia Society of America also financially supports and meaningfully recognizes dementia research, caregivers, and other organizations and individuals through programs including the Ginny Gives Grant for life-enrichment programs, the Dementia SMART Award, and the Dementia QUEST Award.
