Doylestown Band Stars In ‘Cheesy’ New Video For ‘7-Eleven Nachos’
After writing the song, the Doylestown-based all-girl punk band asked 7-Eleven to sponsor them. And the company did.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Years after meeting at the School of Rock Doylestown, three local girls are finding fame as the stars of a new music video for 7-Eleven.
Seventeen-year-old Fiona Clark, of Doylestown, joined forces with Lansdale’s Morgan McClain and Brooke Feenie to form Froggy. The band wrote a song called “7-Eleven Nachos” last summer and first performed it in October at a socially distanced concert.
Froggy released the song’s official music video at the end of January, racking up more than 8,000 views since. The band is now on the cusp of internet stardom after 7-Eleven produced a new music video for the song.

“This is nacho typical music video,” the company said in a news release. “For one, it’s cheesy — really cheesy. Like 200 pounds of decadent nacho cheese cheesy.”

The video, released last week, opens with a short explanation of how the band ended up as stars of the national convenience store chain’s new ad.
“We’re Froggy. We wrote a song about 7-Eleven nachos and asked them to sponsor us as a joke. They said yes. This is the video.”
The video features the trio performing outside the 7-Eleven store at 495 East St. in Doylestown, as well as clips of the girls running through the aisles and eating nachos. Their friends and family are also in the video, rocking out as Froggy performs in the store’s parking lot.

Marissa Jarratt, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for 7-Eleven, said Froggy’s song “perfectly personifies our ‘Take it to Eleven’ campaign that celebrates the wild ways our customers make us a part of their daily lives.”
“Froggy’s song is over-the-top enthusiastic about the love for 7-Eleven nachos,” Jarratt said in a release. “The music video is our thank you to Froggy for creatively celebrating something we both love.”

Feenie, Froggy’s songwriter, said the song “started for fun” and was inspired by a trip to 7-Eleven for snacks.
“It’s so cool to see that the brand actually loved it and wanted to film a professional video with us in our hometown,” she said in the release.
In an interview with Bucks Happening, Clark and McClain both credited the School of Rock Doylestown for teaching them how to express themselves and be performers.
