After COVID Supply Chain Struggles, Doylestown Bike Works Has More Bikes, Parts In Stock
"After all the craziness in the bicycle retail world in the last two years, we know better than to declare our troubles are over."

DOYLESTOWN, PA — After a long few years of supply chain issues, Bike Works has had an uptick in their stock of new bicycles and parts, the shop announced Thursday.
Some kinds of bikes may still be hard to come by due to these pandemic-related problems, but a news release said many popular varieties are now available on the showroom floor in both Doylestown and Newtown.
“The supply chain difficulties which we have suffered with these last two years continue to have an effect on our business, but we’re grateful we have a decent selection of bikes to sell right now for our customers," partner and owner Dan Turner said.

Turner said popular hybrids and kids' bikes arrived last week. While higher-end road bikes are in shorter supply, the shop does now have a few.
Although mountain bikes have been difficult to get ahold of in the past few years, there are currently a variety of sizes available at Bike Works.

“It’s great if this is a harbinger of better things to come, but we just don’t know," Turner said. "After all the craziness in the bicycle retail world in the last two years, we know better than to declare our troubles are over. But it’s just nice to know that we have the bikes in stock now that many of our customers have been looking for.”
Cycling popularity skyrocketed early in the pandemic, the release said. But the COVID-19 outbreak was also slowing — and sometimes stopping — bicycle manufacturing around the world.
"The outcome was over two years of challenges for bicycle shops and their customers worldwide," Bike Works said.
Bike Works is located at 139 S. Main St in Doylestown, open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
