Doylestown Borough Hall Hits The Market; Officials Accepting Bids
Doylestown's new Borough Hall is expected to be ready by early October.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Borough Hall is officially on the market, with construction crews just over a month away from finishing the new borough hall on North Broad Street.
Officials have opened the bidding window for the property at 57 W. Court St. It consists of three adjoining parcels totaling more than 33,000 square feet. The property has a two-story office building with about 12,300 square feet and space to park more than 50 vehicles, according to the borough’s invitation for bids.
Its value was estimated at $2.1 million during its most recent appraisal in late 2018.

Officials will accept bids for the property until 10 a.m. Sept. 30, when all bids will be opened and read at Borough Hall. The borough council could consider the sale of the property at its Oct. 18 meeting.
The borough is set to host two open houses, on Aug. 31 and Sept. 21. Each event is scheduled to run from 5-7 p.m.
The $10 million project to build a new Borough Hall was originally scheduled to be done in late August. The completion date was recently pushed back to early October, but Borough Manager John Davis said that delay will actually work in the borough’s favor.

“That timing works even better for selling Borough Hall,” Davis told Patch on Friday. “It makes it even less likely that we’d have to lease (office space) back here” at the current building.
The project also includes plans for a public park — also scheduled to open in October — playground, picnic area and entertainment space to be added later, Davis said.
