Doylestown Democrat Announces Candidacy To Represent Redrawn PA 29th District
A Bucks County lawyer has announced his bid for state representative, in a campaign chaired by the former mayor of Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A member of Doylestown's borough council has announced his candidacy to represent Pennsylvania's redrawn 29th Legislative District, which includes Chalfont, New Britain, Doylestown, Buckingham, Solebury, and New Hope.
Tim Brennan, an attorney specializing in helping injured workers who also serves as a local government solicitor, has lived in Bucks County for 15 years with his wife and 13-year-old son.
He is hinging his candidacy on "the opportunities we have, working together, to improve peoples’ lives, to rebuild our infrastructure and to build a better future for our kids," according to a news release.

“We may disagree about policy, but we have to expect that our legislators will stand together to protect our democracy," he said.
A Democrat, Brennan believes good leadership comes from both parties working together to lead. He wants to promote "civility" and "to work to build communities where neighbors talk to neighbors, bridge divides and build understanding."

Connor O'Hanlon, who chairs the Doylestown Democratic Committee, announced his bid for the same seat in December. O'Hanlon touts his connections with local businesses as a key part of his candidacy, and aims to create a stronger localized economy in our area.
Among the platforms of Brennan's campaign are: better access to healthcare and education, protecting women's health care rights, defending the environment, providing quality care and support to seniors, and promoting common sense gun safety.
"I have been a committed advocate for LGBTQ civil rights and respect," Brennan said as part of his campaign announcement. "I have worked to that end as a member of Doylestown Borough Council since 2016 and will do so in Harrisburg. I will work to protect and promote the equal rights of all who call Pennsylvania home. "
A former community college professor, Brennan graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law with a special certification in law and government. He studied international law at Trinity University in Ireland and Charles University in the Czech Republic, and is a graduate of Ursinus College.
This is also not his first rodeo: Brennan made a bid to represent the 143rd district in 2018, in which he lost the Democratic primary.
His campaign for House seat of the 29th district is chaired by former Bucks County Recorder of Deeds Robin Robinson and former Doylestown Mayor Ron Strouse.
