The Bucks County Department of Health recorded violations at 6 bars and restaurants in Doylestown from Nov. 1 - Nov. 22.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County Department of Health recorded violations at 17 bars and restaurants in Doylestown last month.

Here's what health inspectors found:

7-Eleven (New Britain Township), 1 violation: Employees not wearing hair restraints as required.

California Tortilla, 12 violations: Foods not at safe temperature in hot hold unit; floors, walls, tables and shelves need deep cleaning; no soap at hand wash sinks in kitchen area; several products held in refrigeration not being covered; chicken in hot hold box not holding food at a safe temperature; prep unit not holding food at safe temperature; ready-to-eat foods not date marked; facility does not have a probing thermometer to ensure raw products are cooked or hot held at a proper temperature; food workers not wearing hair restraints as required; walk in cooler and front hand sink have a leak; fryers have grease buildup; one restroom is out of order.

Chin's Kitchen, 2 violations: food stored on the floor in walk-in freezer, take-out containers stored on the floor; food uncovered in walk-in refrigerator; rice scoops stored in room temperature water between uses.

Delaware Valley College Dining Hall, 2 violations: hot holding unit at serving line is malfunctioning; food on display does not have a time when they are to be sold by or discarded.

Mercantile, 1 violation: Wall behind bar is not smooth, non-porous and easily cleanable. Wood must be sanded, refinished and painted.
