Doylestown Hospital Allowing Visitors As COVID Declines In Bucks
Doylestown Hospital is updating its visitor policy after seeing a moderate decline in COVID-19 cases in Bucks County.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Hospital is expanding its visitor policy to allow one visitor per day per patient in most situations, citing a moderate decline in COVID-19 cases in Bucks County.
The updated policy took effect Monday, marking the first time the hospital has allowed visitors since Dec. 1, when the county reported a record number of coronavirus cases following the Thanksgiving holiday.
The "one visitor per patient, per day" policy includes adult inpatients, the emergency department, surgical procedures, the maternity ward, outpatients with significant disability and the pediatric department (which allows two parents/guardians per patient).

Patients in end-of-life care can receive a maximum of four visitors at a time. No visitors are allowed in the hospital's COVID units.
Access to the hospital is limited to the main lobby, the emergency department and the Gorsky Atrium/Center for Cardiovascular and Critical Care. Visitors must enter through the main lobby or Gorsky Atrium to sign in and collect a visitor badge to wear. All visitors must wear a mask and adhere to social distancing protocols.
