Doylestown Man Charged With Assault In Domestic Incident

A Doylestown man was arrested over the weekend following a domestic dispute at a home in the borough.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Doylestown man was arrested over the weekend following a domestic dispute at a home in the borough, according to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department.

John Paul Billie, 53, faces charges of simple assault and harassment in connection with a verbal argument that turned physical at a home on West Ashland Street Saturday morning.

During a confrontation, Billie removed the victim from his residence by hitting and kicking him, police said. Once outside, the victim knocked on the closed door to the home, and Billie responded by opening the door and punching the victim in the face, authorities said.

He was arraigned on the charges and bail was set at $25,000. His next scheduled court appearance is Dec. 14.
