Doylestown Man Faces Assault Charges Following Easton Road Incident

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 34-year-old Doylestown man is facing assault charges following an incident on Wednesday on Easton Road in Warrington Township.

On Jan. 22, police responded to the 900 block of Easton Road for the report of a woman yelling for help and someone else yelling to get out.

At the scene, a woman told police that she had gotten into an argument with the Doylestown man while traveling on Easton Road. The victim told police that the man grabbed her by the head and hit it on the dashboard. He then proceeded to punch the victim in the face multiple times.

The victim sustained a minor laceration on her forehead, a bloody nose and swelling to her eye, police said.

The man left the area prior to police arrival and was located at his home a short time later. He was placed under arrest and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was transported to the station where he was processed.

The man was arraigned before Judge Marriott who set bail at $30,000 or 10 percent cash. He was unable to post bail and was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
