Doylestown Small Businesses To Stay Open Til 9 On Thursdays For Holiday Shopping Nights
Your favorite Doylestown spots are keeping their doors open late for local holiday shopping in December. See the list of participants.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The holidays can feel like a mad rush to purchase gifts and make everything merry and bright — while also managing jobs, kids, and responsibilities that don't vanish only because it's December. In 2021, small businesses in Doylestown decided to make things a little easier on community members with busy schedules.
In a weekly evening called Hometown Holidays: A Shop & Dine Event in the Heart of Doylestown, shops downtown will stay open past the usual closing time of 6 p.m. for residents to come into town and get some shopping done. Businesses will stay open until 9 p.m. on Thursdays through Christmas.
"We chose Thursday nights because we felt it would be a night that adults could come into town without their children and get shopping done in a way to avoid spoiled surprises," Nerice Kendter, owner of Busy Bee Toys, told Patch.

Residents can also enjoy light refreshments at the stores while they browse, or grab some food at one of the many restaurants. Carolers will be stationed at the Christmas tree in the center of town, providing tunes to ensure the night is full of cheer.
"We are all so excited to offer these special, festive shopping nights and look forward to this being a new annual tradition for our community!" Kendter said.
