Doylestown Street Closings This Weekend For Pedestrian Zones

West State Street in downtown Doylestown will close to motorists this weekend to allow outdoor dining and shopping.

Update: Due to inclement weather, Friday's West State Street Pedestrian Zone has been cancelled.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — West State Street in downtown Doylestown will close to motorists this weekend to allow for outdoor dining and shopping.

On Friday and Saturday from 5-11 p.m., West State Street will be closed from Hamilton Street to Clinton Street.

The street closures are part of a pedestrian zone pilot program launched by Doylestown Borough in June in an effort to help struggling shop owners and restaurants during the coronavirus pandemic.

Weekend street closures for outdoor dining and shopping will continue until Oct. 24, though the program may be extended into November.
