Doylestown Township Supervisor Candidates Win Endorsements
Democrats win the support of state lawmakers, Bucks Co. commissioners and members of the board of supervisors in their race for supervisor.

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Dan Wood and Christina Maida, who are running for two open seats on the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors, have announced a number of key endorsements, including two Bucks County Commissioners, two members of the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors and state lawmakers Steve Santarsiero and Tim Brennan.
"We are honored to have the endorsements of respected local, county, and state leaders, who believe in our ability to serve Doylestown with integrity and effectiveness," the candidates said in a joint statement. "These endorsements come from public servants who we admire a great deal and who have been in our shoes, running for elected office with the goal of bettering their communities. Collectively, they underscore that we are the right people for the job and that we are capable stewards of Doylestown’s future."

- State Senator Steve Santarsiero - “I am proud to endorse Dan Wood and Christina Maida for Doylestown Supervisors. Dan has been a leader with vision for Doylestown, working with me and Rep. Brennan to help secure state grants that have improved roads, parks and trails without burdening local taxpayers. And Christina will bring her fiscal management expertise to the Board of Supervisors, helping to keep Doylestown on a strong financial footing for years to come.”
- State Rep. Tim Brennan - “Doylestown Township deserves leaders that understand the community and are focused on moving the Township forward. Dan Wood and Christina Maida spent their lives here, raised their families here and are committed to improving our services and infrastructure, supporting our first responders and putting in the work necessary to solve any of the issues facing our suburban community. I am looking forward to working with them to make Doylestown Township an even better place to live, work and raise a family.”
- Doylestown Supervisors Jennifer Herring (chair) and Judy Dixon - “Supervisor Dan Wood is a dedicated official on the Board of Supervisors. I have found Dan to be thoughtful, responsible and hard-working. As a volunteer for Doylestown Township and other community organizations, Christina is always the first to raise her hand to help. She never fails to follow through on the promises that she’s made. She works hard every day as a mom, as a volunteer, and now, hopefully, on our Board of Supervisors.”
The candidates have also received endorsements from:
- Bucks County Commissioners Diane Marseglia and Bob Harvey.
- Doylestown Democrats.
- Run For Something, a national organization dedicated to empowering progressive newcomers.
- Democratic Municipal Officials (DMO), a DNC-affiliated network of local elected leaders.
Raised in Doylestown, Dan Wood and Christina Maida said the would bring both hometown passion and proven leadership to the role of supervisor.

Wood, a lifelong resident and township volunteer, has spearheaded major infrastructure improvements in the township. He secured funding and led programs that paved more than 40 miles of roads, and facilitated enhancements to parks and trail systems throughout the township.
Maida, also a lifelong resident and community volunteer, said she would bring financial management experience to the position. She supports a “common-sense budget” approach — investing in community values while safeguarding financial stability.
Together, Wood and Maida said they are "committed to issues that matter most to residents: protecting clean air and water, expanding affordable housing, stewarding parks and infrastructure, and supporting emergency services."
