Woman Charged In Weekend Knife Attack In Doylestown Borough
The Central Bucks Regional Police Department filed attemped murder charges over the weekend against the 50-year-old woman.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Doylestown woman is accused of attempted murder in a knife attack that happened Saturday night inside an apartment at South Main and State streets in Doylestown Borough.
The Central Bucks Regional Police Department arrested 50-year-old Robin McClain McNamara and charged her with criminal attempt - murder of the third degree.
She is also being charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of an instrument of crime with criminal intent, and harassment.

Police were dispatched to the scene around 8:52 p.m. for an abandoned 911 call. A second 911 call came in for a well-being check of a female at the same location, police said.
Upon arrival, police said they encountered McNamara outside the building with clothes soaked in blood. She informed police the blood was from the victim, and she believed she broke the victim’s nose.

Police said they found the victim in the apartment covered in blood with a deep laceration on the back of the head down to the skull. Several other lacerations were observed on the victim’s shoulders and forearm with bruising down the back, police said.
The victim told police that McNamara had attacked them with a clever-type knife, which was recovered from the scene by police.
The victim was transported to a trauma center for medical treatment.
McNamara was taken into police custody.
