Drunk Man Kicked Officer In Head After Hitting Utility Pole: Hilltown Police

After running away from a crash, Noah Paul Reynolds spit on an officer and damaged the door of a police car, police said.

HILLTOWN, PA — A man is in jail after resisting arrest in a drunk driving crash Monday, Hilltown police said, when he kicked an officer in the head and spat on a patrol sergeant.

Noah Paul Reynolds, 33, was taken into custody after Hilltown Township police officers were called about a crash on Blooming Glen Road near Rickert Road at 8:04 p.m. Monday night.

Reynolds had apparently hit a utility pole, police said. Officers saw him running in the road away from the crash, and said they found him to be intoxicated.

When the officers tried to arrest Reynolds, he fought back and kicked an officer in the head, according to the police news release. When they got him into a police car, he kicked the car's interior door and caused "substantial damage," police said.

When he was placed in a holding cell, Reynolds spat in a patrol sergeant's face, according to Hilltown police.

Police charged him with aggravated assault, assault by prisoner, simple assault, institutional vandalism, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, driving under the influence, and accidents involving damage to unattended property.

Reynolds was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of posting 10 percent of his $100,000.00 bail.
