DUI Arrests, Assaults, Incidents: Central Bucks Regional Crime Report

Police reported the following arrests and incidents in Doylestown Borough, New Britain Borough and Chalfont Borough.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following arrests and citations during March:

March 2-29

  • Disorderly Conduct — Between March 2 and March 29, police cited the following people for urinating in public in Doylestown Borough: A 22-year-old man from Ambler, two 21-year-old men from Perkasie, a 25-year-old man from Warminster, a 25-year-old man from Philadelphia, a 27-year-old woman from Warrington, a 34-year-old woman from Doylestown, a 25-year-old woman from North Wales, a 24-year-old man from Huntingdon Valley, a 21-year-old man from Pipersville, a 21-year-old man from Villas, New Jersey, and a 23-year-old man from Newtown.

  • Simple Assault, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct —A 14-year-old student at Unami Middle School in Chalfont Borough was charged with simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct stemming from an incident between students that took place on Feb. 13. A Juvenile Allegation has been filed.
  • Driving Under the Influence — A 64-year-old Chalfont man was charged with DUI after police responded to a two-car crash at West Butler Avenue and Lenape Drive in New Britain Borough. Police said the driver presented with an unsteady gait, lethargy, and had difficulty keeping his eyes open. Field sobriety tests were administered and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

March 9

  • Disorderly Conduct and Harassment — A 21-year-old man from Dalton was cited with disorderly conduct and harassment following a physical altercation at 19 North Main Street.

  • Drug Violations — A 35-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with drug violations following a traffic stop at Spring Lake Drive and Tamenend Avenue for an expired vehicle registration. Police said the driver presented with an odor of marijuana and was uncooperative with police. Burnt marijuana was seen on the console of the vehicle.
  • Liquor Law Violation, Disorderly Conduct — A 20-year-old Warrington man was cited for a liquor law violation and disorderly conduct following a pedestrian stop for urinating in public on East Street in Doylestown Borough. Police said the man presented with glassy eyes and alcoholic beverage containers were visible in his parked vehicle.

March 15

  • Driving Under the Influence — A 27-year-old Telford woman was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for driving the wrong way down a one-way street at West State and Hamilton streets in Doylestown Borough. Police said the driver presented with extremely glassy/bloodshot eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

March 16

  • Disorderly Conduct — A 24-year-old Doylestown man, a 22-year-old Pipersville man and a 25-year-old Pipersville man were cited with disorderly conduct for fighting in the street at 37 North Main Street in Doylestown Borough.
  • Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct, Evading and Resisting Arrest — A 36-year-old Philadelphia man was cited for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and evading and resisting arrest following a pedestrian stop for urinating in public on West State Street in Doylestown Borough. Police said the man presented with slurred speech, glassy eyes and an unsteady gait. When speaking with officers, the man decided to flee on foot and resisted arrest when officers caught up with him.
  • Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Harassment, Public Drunkenness — A 23-year-old Doylestown man was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness following a physical altercation at 12 West State Street, Doylestown Borough. Police said the man failed to obey police command to stop fighting. And when police attempted to separate the two the man continued to punch the victim in the face causing injury. Police said the man presented with several signs of intoxication.

March 23

  • Public Drunkenness — A 37-year-old Langhorne man was cited for public drunkenness following a well-being check for a man lying face down on the sidewalk on East Court Street in Doylestown Borough. Police said the man presented with a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech.

March 24

  • Defiant Trespass — A 57-year-old Doylestown man was charged with defiant trespass after he was found sleeping inside an atrium at 301 South Main Street in Doylestown Borough. The man had previously been advised by police that he was not allowed on the property.
  • Code Violation — A 24-year-old Sellersville man and a 46-year-old Sellersville man were cited for selling a nicotine product to an underage individual at 539 N. Main Street (Exxon) in Doylestown Borough.
  • Code Violation — A 23-year-old woman from Warrington and a 53-year-old man from Doyelstown were cited for selling a nicotine product to an underage individual at 22 North Main Street (Miles City Vape).
  • Retail Theft — A 22-year-old Horsham woman was charged with retail theft after police said she shoplifted $128 worth of merchandise at the Target Store at 456 N. Main Street in Doylestown Borough.

March 25

  • Criminal Mischief And Other Charges — A 55-year-old Doylestown man was charged with criminal mischief for vandalizing a vehicle at 422 North Main Street (Planet Fitness).

March 26

  • Public Drunkenness — A 23-year-old Chalfont man was cited for public drunkenness after police responded to Leonardo's Pizza at 4 North Main Street in Chalfont Borough for a man passed out in a restroom. Chal-Brit Regional EMS responded for medical assistance.

March 28

  • Driving Under the Influence — A 64-year-old woman from Jamison was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for taillights not operational during a period when required. Police said the driver presented with slow/lethargic movements and an odor of alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were administered and subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

March 29

  • Fraud And Other Charges — A 42-year-old Doylestown man was charged with fraud following a traffic stop on North Main and East State Street in Doylestown Borough for a vehicle displaying fraudulent registration plates.
  • False Identification — A 20-year-old Horsham man was cited for providing false identification in an attempt to purchase an alcoholic beverage at 132 Veterans Lane, Doylestown Borough.

March 31

  • Driving Under the Influence And A Drug Violation — A 35-year-old man from New Britain was charged with DUI on West Butler Avenue in New Britain Borough. Police said the driver presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage and glassy/bloodshot eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
