Fallen Tree Causes Power Outage At Butler Elementary School

Thursday will be an online instructional day for Butler Elementary School due to a power outage.

CHALFONT, PA — A fallen tree caused a power outage at Butler Elementary School on Thursday, which led Central Bucks School District officials to cancel in-person classes there for the day.

The tree fell on Brittany Drive sometime Wednesday night and knocked out power to the school, but neighboring homes were not affected, according to local police and fire personnel.

The Central Bucks Virtual Academy will run on a normal schedule, and there will be no morning or after care provided at Butler, the district said.
