Fire Rips Through Bucks Co. Home Leaving Family Homeless

One firefighter was transported to the hospital for heat-related issues while one occupant was treated for smoke inhalation.

PERKASIE, PA — Fire ripped through a home in Perkasie Borough Saturday night, destroying the Spring Lane building and leaving a family homeless.

Firefighters were dispatched at 6:54 p.m. for a reported house fire. Heavy fire was quickly confirmed by arriving companies and a second alarm was sounded.

Firefighters advanced hose lines and used overhead platform water guns to attack the fire.

One firefighter was transported to the hospital for heat-related issues and one occupant was transported to the hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. Both were released Saturday evening.

Responding to the first call were Engine 26, Engine 76, Tower 27, Rescue 26, Rescu 18, Engine 59, Engine 61, Engine 27, Medica 108 and Medic 151.

Caled out on the second alarm were Engine 23, Rescue 19, Montco Ladder 75, Montco Squad 72, Ladder 18, Tower 57, Montco Engine 72, Montco Tower 74, Montco Engine 74 and Montco Squad 75.
