PA Republicans Call On Congress To Investigate 2020 Election
Republicans in the PA House and Senate are calling on Congress to dispute Pennsylvania's electors.
Editor's Note: Since this article was published, several Republican lawmakers have come forward to say they did not sign a letter that was sent to Pennsylvania's 18 congressional representatives and two U.S. senators calling on them to dispute the state’s electors. The PA House Caucus, which issued a press release Friday containing the names and signatures of several Bucks County lawmakers, has issued a revised statement with a letter that does not include their names.
Rep. Todd Polinchock issued a statement on his personal Facebook page saying that his signature being included was the result of a clerical mistake made in Harrisburg, he said.
"I stand by what I've said for months," Polinchock said. "The voice of the voters should be heard and their decisions should be respected."

Rep. Polinchock’s name may not be the only one that was included in error, Penn Capital Star's Stephen Caruso reports:
UPDATE: Rep. Chris Quinn tells me that he and at least four other reps — Reps. Todd Polinchock, Megan Schroeder, Wendi Thomas and KC Tomlinson — did NOT mean to sign the letter. “I don’t know how mistakes like this happen." All are suburban Philly reps. https://t.co/N8vGxfJszq

The link to the letter that was included in the PA House GOP’s press release has since been replaced with one that does not include the signatures of the Bucks County lawmakers that were mentioned in a previous version of this article, including Rep. Craig Statts (R-Quakertown), Rep. Todd Polinchock (R-Warrington), Rep. Kathleen Tomlinson (R-Bensalem), Rep. Meghan Schroeder (R-Buckingham), and Rep. Wendi Thomas (R-Richboro).

Earlier —
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Republican lawmakers in the PA House and Senate are calling on the state's Congressional delegation to dispute Pennsylvania's electors and asking for the state department to review its policies during the 2020 general election.
GOP lawmakers sent a total of three letters, including one to the state's congressional delegation outlining the reasons why they should dispute the state of electors. A separate letter was sent to State Attorney General Josh Shapiro requesting he appoint an independent prosecutor to review any election irregularities, while another was sent to the state inspector general's office asking for a review of the Department of State's policies and procedures during the election.
The group argues that Gov. Tom Wolf set to undermine protections that were provided under a 2019 law that included a major expansion to mail-in voting. They also allege that some county boards of elections processed thousands of defective ballots.
“The unconstitutional actions of an activist court created confusion and delays for every voter in Pennsylvania," Speaker of the House Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) said in a news release. "These letters are a continuation of actions the Legislature has taken for months to restore our election law, and the public’s trust in our election process.”
AG Shapiro issued a statement Nov. 24 affirming that Pennsylvania's presidential electors have been chosen and certified for President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
"This is exactly how the process should happen — the people vote, those votes are counted, and the electors chosen reflect the will of the people,” Shapiro said.
