BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A Bucks County vegan restaurant is closing its doors while a popular New Hope Inn is celebrating its reopening after a fire earlier in the week.

The chef and owner of Sprig & Vine in New Hope announced this past week its planned closure, while just down the street, the operators of the Logan Inn, reopened the landmark building on Friday, just days after a roof fire damaged the building.

In other Bucks County business news, Sesame Place announced a new president, and the Fred Beans organization announced that its owner and founder, Fred Beans, is the winner of the Ford Motor Company's Lifetime Achievement Award.

Bucks Co. Vegan Restaurant Closing Its Doors

After 15 years in business, New Hope’s "pure vegetarian" restaurant - Sprig & Vine - is closing its doors. Chef and owner Ross Olchvary posted the news on Facebook on Wednesday. “Sprig & Vine will be closing on Sunday, October 19, and we’d love to see you one more time. After that, we may have limited offerings or pop-ups depending on our staffing. Stay tuned," said Chef Ross.

Historic Logan Inn Reopens Days After Fire

Just days after fire damaged the landmark hotel, the Logan Inn, New Hope, reopened on Friday for regular service. "Thanks to the quick response of local first responders, everyone is safe, and the situation was managed swiftly," said the Innkeepers in a Facebook posting Thursday night. "We want to take a moment to thank our community for the overwhelming support and compassion following this week's fire. Your messages, visits and words of encouragement have reminded us just how special New Hope truly is."

Auto Dealer Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award

Fred Beans, founder and president of Fred Beans Automotive Group, has been recognized as the third recipient ever of the Ford Motor Company’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Beans purchased his first dealership, a Ford store, 50 years ago. That same dealership, Fred Beans Ford of Doylestown, remains at the heart of the Beans operation, which has grown to include 30 dealerships - eight of which are Ford stores - and additional automotive-related operations.

Sesame Place Names New Amusement Park President

Sesame Place Philadelphia has named a new president, adding a leader who has roots at the amusement park going back to when he served as a seasonal team member in 1998. Michael Taylor has over 25 years of experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry, including a decade as Sesame Place's director of park operations. The Bucks County native said he grew up visiting Sesame Place and now shares going there with his three young daughters.

Celebrations Wedding Venue Sold In Bensalem: Report

The Celebrations Wedding Venue — a popular Bucks County spot for nuptials — has sold for $6.85 million, according to reports. The Bensalem Landmark Shopping Center acquired the venue and an adjacent shopping plaza from owner Francesco Dicianni, said the Philadelphia Business Journal. Celebrations, located at 2201 Galloway Road, is a large event venue for weddings and other occasions, set within a space featuring elegant decor and a ballroom.
