The Plumstead Township Police Chief told the Bucks County Courier Times that ICE made an arrest in the township over the weekend.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Agents with Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) took an individual into custody on a federal warrant over the weekend in Central Bucks County.

The incident happened on Saturday at a public park in Plumstead Township, Police Chief David Mettin told the Bucks County Courier Times.

Mettin said his department was unaware of the federal action until it was notified by a resident that the activity was taking place at Joseph E. Hanusey III Park in the 4700 block of Gordon Road, the paper reported.

The department received no advance notification of the action and police did not respond to the park, Mettin told the paper.

The individual arrested at the park was taken into custody on a Final Order of Removal, Chief Mettin said.

A final order of removal, issued by an immigration judge, means an individual is legally obligated to leave the United States. ICE is responsible for enforcing the orders and may detain individuals pending their removal.
