Video Of Ida Tearing Through Bucks Co. Garden Center Shows Storm's Intensity [WATCH]

High winds and heavy rain damaged structures and scattered plants and debris Wednesday at Froelich's Farm and Garden Center.

FURLONG, PA — Froehlich’s Farm and Garden Center in Furlong was hit hard by the remnants of Ida, with surveillance video capturing the storm as it tore through the region Wednesday.

High winds and heavy rain ripped plants from their display stands and scattered them across the parking lot, as seen in the video. Pictures posted by the business also show damage to some of its farm structures, with debris blown across York Road/Route 263.

The National Weather Service estimated that Ida brought up to 8 inches of rainfall to Upper Bucks County, causing historic flooding and prompting schools to cancel classes. The storm also brought numerous reports of tornadoes touching down in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Ida Slams Philly Region, Dangerous River Flooding Still Possible

School districts throughout Bucks County stayed closed Thursday, with many residents still unable to safely leave their homes or drive on nearby roads.

Froehlich’s Farm and Garden Center is closed Thursday due to the damage it suffered the night before.
