Kids Scramble For Eggs In Doylestown Borough: Photo Feature

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Thousands of eggs added splashes of color to the lawn at Broad Commons Park on Sunday morning setting the stage for Doylestown Borough’s second Broad Commons Egg Hunt.

The event, postponed for a day due to a rainy, cold Saturday, brought hundreds to the park for a morning of fun that included a series of age group hunts that sent kids scrambling across the lawn with baskets and bags.

The hunt also included face painting by Madelyn, Bucks Bubbles, and Kona Ice.

The event kicked off with a drone luring the Easter Bunny off the roof of the Doylestown Borough Hall with a carrot and continued throughout the morning with a series of age group hunts, each beginning with a mad dash across the grass.

The event was organized by the Doylestown Borough Parks and Recreation Department and was sponsored by Busy Bee Toys, Class-Harlan Real Estate, and The Learning Experience.

More Easter Fun

The Easter Bunny will be hopping by the offices of Discover Doylestown for a photo session on Saturday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will be on hand to make sure the whole family can get in the pictures. The office is located at 63 East State Street, Doylestown.

An Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt continues through Saturday, April 19 at noon. Youngsters are invited to visit participating stores to find golden eggs in downtown Doylestown. When you spot the golden eggs at any of the businesses in your booklet, collect a store sticker (or signature). Once you've collected all the stamps or stickers take your booklet to Evolution Candy to be entered to win a special prize.
