'Kind, Respectful, Sincere': Perkasie Teen Nominated As 'Star Student'

Perkasie, Pennsylvania — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Matt is an outstanding student, excellent athlete but most importantly he is civic minded with participating in volunteer work locally in his community since he was a young man. He has raised money and sporting equipment for underprivileged children. He collected food for his local food bank since he was 5 yrs old with his red wagon. Matt has received many recognitions from local service organizations. He is kind, respectful, sincere, and always has a big smile on his face but more importantly on and in his heart.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

Matt would rather give than receive.
