DOYLESTOWN, PA —The coronavirus outbreak in Pennsylvania and across the nation is having vast impacts in Doylestown, including the closure of schools and many businesses.

The number of cases of the illness, also known as COVID-19, continue to rise and additional measures and closures continue to be announced. The governor has declared a Stay at Home order for 10 counties. All non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania have been closed.

As of Wednesday, there were 85 positive cases of coronavirus in Bucks County, including confirmed cases in Doylestown Borough, Doylestown Township, and Buckingham Township. There are more than 1,100 cases in Pennsylvania as of Wednesday, and 11 people have died as a result of COVID-19.

All schools in Pennsylvania will remain closed through at least April 6 in response to the new coronavirus outbreak, state officials said. MORE.

Doylestown restaurants, reeling amid the crisis, are offering takeout deals and special initiatives to help laid-off employees. MORE.

Additionally, The Pineville Tavern has launched a kids meal initiative, which will also support Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) and Fisherman's Mark in Lambertville. MORE.

The Central Bucks Regional Police announced they'll be doing virtual well-being checks for seniors during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. MORE.
