The event has also become such a favorite because its free to the public, meaning all enthusiasts can enjoy the fun. It's also meant to offer something for all ages.

"Home to over 8,000 residents as well as the James A. Michener Art Museum, the Mercer Museum and Fonthill Castle, the TileWorks, the County Theater, and a robust array of galleries, restaurants, and locally-owned shops and boutiques, Doylestown is nationally recognized as a destination town," organizers said.

And the arts festival brings a new dimension to the vibrant community for its weekend run each year.

"Doylestown Arts Festival has supported local and regional artists and performers for over 30 years," organizers said.

The festival also hopes to accommodate best public health practices, such as additional spacing to allow for social distancing and hand-washing/sanitizing stations. Proceedings are organized by a small volunteer committee of Discover Doylestown, and the event is presented by the Thompson Organization.
