Man Accused Of Stealing $8,560 Worth of Sunglasses In Warrington

During an investigation, police discovered that the store employee was selling the stolen merchandise online.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Philadelphia man has been charged with retail theft and receiving stolen merchandise after admitting to stealing 280 pairs of sunglasses from a township store.

In July, Asset Protection from LensCrafters contacted the Warrington Police Department regarding an employee theft. An investigation found that 41-year-old Kenneth Gibson from Philadelphia was stealding merchandise from the store.

Police discovered that Gibson was selling the stolen merchandise online. When Gibson was interviewed by police, he admitted to stealing 280 pairs of sunglasses.

On January 17, Gibson was arrested in Lower Frederick Township in Montgomery County. Warrington Police picked up Gibson and transported him to the station where he was processed. Gibson was arraigned by Judge Marriott who set bail at $15,000.00 unsecured.
