Man Arested For Stealing Tools From Warrington Store: Crime Report

In other reports, police charged a man for failing to pay for his dinner and arrested a Jenkintown woman for retail theft.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Feb. 21 and 24:

February 21

  • Police were dispatched to TJ Smith's after a customer failed to settle his bill after eating at the restaurant. Employees reported that on Feb. 15, a 46-year-old man from Doylestown attempted to pay a bill of $61.13 with a credit card, which was subsequently declined. The man then assured staff that he would return by 8 p.m. to complete the payment. Officers reached out to the man, informing him of the necessity to pay the bill to avoid potential criminal charges. However, the man did not fulfill the payment obligation, leading to the filing of a criminal complaint in District Court. He has been charged with theft of services.

  • A 35-year-old man from Warminster surrendered to police on a warrant for his arrest. Brian Bancroft Antonuccio, 35, was wanted by police for retail theft and receiving stolen property for an incident that happened on Jan. 28 at the Home Depot. While on patrol, police observed Antonuccio walking away from the store carrying a trash bag which appeared to be full of boxes. The officer then observed Antonuccio approach a random vehicle in the parking lot and pulled out a Ryobi box. Antonuccio had a brief conversation with the driver and then they went their separate ways. The officer stopped Antonuccio in the area of Wawa. Inside the bag was a Ryobi Saw and a Truecoat Paint Sprayer valued at $397. The officer seized the merchandise and allowed Antonuccio to continue on his way. The officer contacted Home Depot and they were able to confirm Antonuccio left the store without paying. Antonuccio was processed and arraigned by Judge O’Neill who set bail at $35,000 unsecured.
  • Police responded to Wegmans for the report of a retail theft. Upon arrival loss prevention had a 44-year-old woman from Jenkintown detained in the office. Loss prevention told police that the woman had concealed $196.34 worth of merchandise in her purse. The woman and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise. She was placed under arrest and transported to the station where she was processed and released. She is charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.
