Man Charged With Assault In Scissor Attack In Warrington

Police said the victim sustained a three inch laceration to the head during the assault.

WARRINGTON, PA — A 21-year-old man is facing charges after he attacked a family member with a pair of scissors during a domestic incident in the township.

On August 24 at 6:05 a.m., police responded to the 1200 block of Lisa Drive for a domestic in progress. When they arrived, officers spoke with a family member who said the 21-year-old man had attacked them.

Witnesses told police that the man began screaming and throwing his belongings out of a window, which woke up the family member. The man then attacked the family member with a pair of scissors, causing two bleeding lacerations approximately three inches in length to the victim’s head, police said. He also shoved the victim to the ground during the assault, police reported.

The man was placed under arrest and transported to the station. He was processed and arraigned by Judge Galloway, who set bail at $100,000 or 10 percent cash. He was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

He is charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment.

Domestic Disturbance Turns Physical

In another incident on August 20, police responded to the 2200 block of Pileggi Road for the report of a domestic disturbance in progress.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who reported that an 18-year-old man from Philadelphia had assaulted them.

The victim told police that the man repeatedly punched them in the face and shoved them onto the ground and into a trash can. The victim said they were able to fight back, forcing the man off of them. The incident was witnessed by several bystanders.

The man was located a short time later and placed under arrest. He was transported to the police station for processing and subsequently arraigned by Judge Baraowski, who set bail at $25,000 or
10 percent cash. Unable to post bail, he was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.

The man is charged with simple assault and harassment.
