Man Drowns After Driving Through Bucks Co. Flood Waters: Police
First responders, who had to delay their rescue for several hours due to severe flooding, found the man dead in his car Thursday morning.
BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A 65-year-old man drowned after trying to drive his car through flood waters Wednesday night in Upper Bucks County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Donald Allen Bauer, of Perkiomenville, was found dead Thursday morning in his car near Unami Creek in Milford Township, police said. Firefighters and police reached the area around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday but were forced to delay their rescue due to severe conditions, according to police.

A 54-year-old woman from Perkiomenville escaped the car and was taken to St. Luke’s Upper Bucks Campus in Quakertown, police said.
Rescue crews made it to Bauer’s car around 6 a.m. Thursday but were too late. Bauer was pronounced dead at 10:10 a.m., with the Bucks County Coroner’s Office ruling that his death was caused by accidental drowning, police said.
