New Details Released On Doylestown Police-Involved Shooting
Officers involved in Thursday's standoff were dispatched to Olde Colonial Greene for a report of a man who was armed and damaging property.
DOYLESTOWN, PA —Authorities have released additional details surrounding a police-involved shooting Thursday night in Doylestown Township.
According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, a 60-year-old man was injured in the shooting. He remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition, authorities said in an update Friday.
Authorities were called to Carriage Drive, which is in the Olde Colonial Greene neighborhood, just before 8:15 p.m. Thursday for a report of a man who was armed, upset, and damaging property.

When police arrived, officers found the man had barricaded inside a residence and a standoff began.
Police attempted to negotiate with the man. However, in the course of the incident, the man was shot by police.

The standoff prompted a shelter-in-place, which was lifted less than two hours later.
No police officers or other members of the public were injured during the incident.
