Man Steals, Cashes Check From Doylestown Mailbox: Cops
The man was arrested after cashing the $400 check in Jenkintown, according to bank statements.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — A man was arrested in connection to the theft of a check from a Doylestown mailbox.
David T. Wisler, 75, was arrested for allegedly stealing a $400 check from another Doylestown resident's mailbox. Bank statements show that the check, which was reported stolen by the victim on Thursday, Oct. 14, was cashed in Jenkintown.
According to police, Wisler was taken into custody and arraigned, with his bail set at $20,000 with conditions. He was arrested for individual counts of theft, receiving stolen property, and loitering and prowling at nighttime.
