Mercantile at Doylestown Announces Opening Date
Doylestown's newest shopping destination will hold a ribbon-cutting celebration on Saturday, Nov. 7.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — A new shopping destination will be unveiled in Doylestown Borough in time for the holiday shopping season.
The Mercantile at Doylestown, a sprawling marketplace in the Doylestown Shopping Center at 444 N. Main St., will open its doors Saturday, Nov. 7. The 25,000 square foot venue provides a space for artisans, vendors, and small business owners to sell and showcase their products.
The space was formerly occupied by a Fox & Holly department store, which decided to remain closed following the coronavirus shutdowns. Prior to that, it was occupied by national clothing retailer Bon-Ton, which shuttered that location in 2018.

Brooke Henningsen, founding partner of Arrow Real Estate Services, the company managing the shopping center, told Patch in August that the Mercantile would be "a Mecca of unique shopping experiences unlike anything around the area."
In addition to indoor shopping, the Mercantile will host outdoor activities such as food trucks, car shows and pop-up community events.
