Neshaminy Greenway Trail Gets $225K For Expansion

The trail will link five Bucks County communities to several parks and connect the town centers of Doylestown Borough and Chalfont Borough.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has awarded $225,000 to New Britain Township to expand the Neshaminy Greenway Trail in Bucks County.

The funding, which is a mix of state and federal dollars, will help cover the cost of constructing about two-thirds of a mile of trailway from Upper State Road in Chalfont to the existing trail.

“State cooperation and investments keep local project costs down and bring our hard-working state tax dollars back to our community," State Rep. Wendy Ullman (D-Plumstead) said in a press release announcing the funding.
